Terms & Conditions

RedSwitch / RedSwitch Wraps

Effective date:
01 July 2026
Last updated:
13 July 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern quotations, bookings, vehicle drop-offs, supply of materials, and the installation of wraps, PPF, tinting, parts and related services by RedSwitch. They are intended to protect both RedSwitch and its clients, subject always to applicable South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.

01

Acceptance and scope

By requesting a quote, approving artwork, paying a deposit, dropping off a vehicle, or instructing RedSwitch to begin work, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. These terms apply to all services, products, materials and related work supplied by RedSwitch unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

02

Quotes, deposits and bookings

  • Quotations are estimates unless expressly stated to be fixed in writing.
  • Quotes are valid for 14 days unless withdrawn earlier.
  • A booking is only secured once any required deposit has been paid and RedSwitch has confirmed the booking in writing.
  • Deposits may be applied to design time, materials procurement and workshop slot reservation.
  • Deposits are non-refundable once custom materials have been ordered, printing or design work has started, or cancellation occurs within 7 days of the booking date.
03

Customer authority and required disclosures

  • You confirm that you are the vehicle owner or have full authority from the owner to authorise the work.
  • You must disclose any prior accidents, resprays, body filler, previous wraps or PPF, ceramic coatings, rust, leaks, electrical or mechanical faults, warning lights, alarm or tracker issues, and aftermarket modifications.
  • You must also disclose any finance, insurance or ownership restrictions relevant to the work.
  • If information is not disclosed, or defects are hidden or latent, RedSwitch is not liable for any resulting delay, failure, extra work, damage or added cost caused by those circumstances.
04

Pre-existing and latent defects

RedSwitch may inspect, wash, photograph and document the condition of the vehicle before work starts. You acknowledge that normal preparation, removal, disassembly, wrapping or fitting may reveal hidden or latent defects. RedSwitch is not responsible for pre-existing or latent defects, including poor repaint quality, weak or aged paint, lacquer peel, adhesive failure, brittle trim clips, cracked trim, stone chips, corrosion, body filler issues, sensor faults, or defects resulting from previous repairs. If such issues are discovered, RedSwitch may pause the job and issue a revised quote or recommendation before continuing.

05

Service limitations and fitment

  • Final results depend on the condition of the vehicle, the material chosen and the physical limits of the surface being worked on.
  • Some seams, joins, edge visibility, trimming, badge removal or working around sensors and trim may be necessary.
  • Not all surfaces are suitable for wrapping or paint protection film, and RedSwitch does not guarantee outcomes on unsuitable, damaged or unstable surfaces.
  • Colours shown on screens, proofs or prior jobs may vary slightly from final installed materials.
06

Payment, release of vehicle and non-payment

  • Unless RedSwitch has agreed written credit terms, all balances are due in cleared funds before the vehicle is released.
  • RedSwitch may retain possession of the vehicle, keys and accessories until all invoices, storage fees and other amounts due have been paid in full, subject to applicable law.
  • Overdue amounts may attract interest at the maximum rate permitted by law from the due date until payment is made in full.
  • You are responsible for reasonable collection costs, tracing costs and legal costs to the extent permitted by law.
07

Vehicle collection and storage

  • You must collect the vehicle within 5 business days after notification that the job is complete.
  • Storage charges of R250 per day may apply after that period.
  • RedSwitch will take reasonable care of vehicles in its possession, but is not liable for loss or damage caused by events beyond its reasonable control, except to the extent caused by RedSwitch's gross negligence or where the law does not allow exclusion.
  • Please remove valuables before handing over the vehicle.
08

Movement, testing and subcontractors

You authorise RedSwitch to move, start, idle, reposition and, where reasonably necessary, road-test the vehicle for the limited purpose of carrying out, checking or completing the work. RedSwitch may also use specialist suppliers or subcontractors where reasonably necessary.

09

Warranty and aftercare

  • RedSwitch provides a 12-month workmanship warranty on its installation work.
  • Manufacturer warranties on wrap, PPF or other materials are separate and subject to the manufacturer's own terms.
  • Warranty claims may be refused where damage or failure results from accidents, stone chips, pressure washing, harsh chemicals, petrol or diesel spills, misuse, neglect, off-road use, third-party repairs or failure to follow aftercare instructions.
  • You must notify RedSwitch promptly and allow inspection before any third party performs repair or removal work.
10

Cancellations, delays and force majeure

RedSwitch is not in breach if work is delayed by supplier shortages, power outages, internet failures, weather, hidden vehicle defects, client approval delays, or other events beyond reasonable control. If you cancel or postpone a confirmed booking, RedSwitch may charge for design work, custom materials, labour already committed and lost booking slot costs.

11

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RedSwitch is not liable for indirect, special or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of use or downtime. RedSwitch's total liability arising from a service is limited, at RedSwitch's election, to repair or replacement of the affected work, or repayment of the amount paid for that specific service. Nothing in these terms excludes any right that cannot legally be excluded under applicable South African law, or liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
